I doubt that it is caused by esri-loader, though the root cause has to to w/ jQuery being loaded on the page after the ArcGIS API (or is it the other way around, I forget), and since esri-loader is typically used to lazy-load the ArcGIS API, I would assume that jQuery would already be loaded by then.
